The NBU allowed Ukrainian banks to the clouds

The NBU settled the issue of the use of cloud services by Ukrainian banks. This will help to ensure the stable functioning of the banking system of Ukraine during the period of martial law.

According to the resolution of the NBU Board No. 42 dated 08.03.2022 "On the use of cloud services by banks in the conditions of martial law in Ukraine", banks were given the opportunity to provide banking services using cloud services whose data centers are located on the territory of EU states, Great Britain, USA and Canada. This norm will be in effect during the period of martial law and for 2 years after its abolition.

Banks also received the right to use both domestic cryptographic protection of information and those that meet the requirements of the legislation of the states from whose territory cloud services are provided when processing banking transactions and personal data of clients.
