Strengthening the energy sustainability of the Kryvyi Rih district 

AM Integrator Group successfully completed an important project to implement autonomous solar energy systems for the social infrastructure of the Kryvyi Rih district within the framework of the UKR/002 2 project with financial support from the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

The main goal of the project was to ensure energy sustainability and autonomy of the social infrastructure of the Kryvyi Rih district by implementing modern solar energy systems. This will help reduce the region's carbon footprint and optimize budget expenditures.

The project was aimed at implementing autonomous solar energy systems in the social sphere and covered 73 social infrastructure facilities, providing them with a stable and environmentally friendly source of energy.

The implemented comprehensive technical solution provides:

• Increasing the energy resilience of social and critical infrastructure of the Kryvyi Rih district during planned and emergency outages from the city network.
• Guaranteed power supply systems, including solar panel arrays, backup batteries, as well as electrical and cyber protection systems.

The systems are configured in Self Use mode with priority on consumers and battery charge, and during emergency shutdowns can be reconfigured to ChargeFirst mode for maximum readiness for autonomous power supply.

The project achieved the following results:

• Social infrastructure facilities are provided with electricity during emergency outages.
• The opportunity to reduce electricity costs through the use of solar energy is provided.
• The stability of the power system has been increased through the decentralization of generating capacity.
• A large-scale model of energy autonomy has been created, which can be scaled up and implemented in other communities in Ukraine.
• CO2 emissions have been reduced, which contributes to the country's move towards «green energy».
